Nomi Sofer

Strategic Communications Advisor

Nomi Sofer serves as a strategic communications advisor for diversitydatakids.org.  She has over two decades' experience as a writer and editor and specializes in communication in the public interest.

Sofer is currently the director of communications for The Petey Greene Program, which provides tutoring for currently and formerly incarcerated learners and educates volunteers on the injustice manifest in the carceral system. Between 2018 and 2021 Nomi led strategic communications and user outreach at diversitydatakids.org. Previously, she held senior roles in the communications departments at WGBH and Jobs for the Future. 

Sofer holds a doctorate in English and American literature from Boston University and has taught at Harvard University, Framingham State University, Boston University and MCI Framingham.
